A weekly hobby site devoted solely to exploring the great films of Humphrey Bogart, one by one, in no particular order! I’ve been a fan for years, but only recently decided to devote a little more time to it as there don’t seem to be a lot of online sites directly related to breaking down Bogart’s films.
Films are rated between 1/2 and 5 “Bogies” based on how much of a “Bogie Fix” I feel like I can get from the film when I need it!
As of the summer of 2014, I’ve reached the end of my journey watching all the films in which Bogart had more than just a cameo. There are only a couple of Bogart films out there that I haven’t been able to track down – Body and Soul and A Devil with Women. If you have any knowledge of where I can track them down, your help would be appreciated!
From this point forward, I’ll be posting about Bogart’s radio appearances, a few of his smaller cameos that I have yet to see, and new collaborators in The Usual Suspects portion of the blog. Hopefully, some more fun interviews and lots of book reviews will be peppered throughout as well!
The number of visitors to the site has continued to grow steadily every month since the first day I’ve posted, and I can’t thank you all enough for the love and support you’ve given along the way! I’ve truly had a fantastic time getting to know other Bogart fans and classic film fans from around the world!

May i ask how many Bogey films you have seen so far? Maybe you can share a list? I hope you have seen The Desperate Hours, thats my favorite.
I’ve never counted, actually! But maybe I’ll do so tonight! I’ve seen bits and pieces of pretty much everything that’s played on tv for the last 5 to 10 years. But actually sitting through the whole thing??? I’m gonna wager a guess of 1/3 to 1/2? I’ll check.
And no, I have not see The Desperate Hours yet! But it’s on the list!
Looks like I have a pretty solid memory of at least 33, with a number of films that ring a bell, but I don’t know if I’ve seen them completely through. Plus there are at least 3 that are supposedly impossible to get – through legal means – and I’m sticking to legal means for the blog.
I’ve been thinking of typing up a FAQ page . . .
Just wanted to stop by and say you have an amazing blog here.
Thank you!!!
I’ve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award!
Here’s the full post:
There’s absolutely no obligation to take part unless you wish to ~ if not, please simply take it as a tribute to my appreciation for your wonderful blog!

Thanks great blog topic! Regards from Thom at the immortal jukebox.
I am trying to find a video copy of ARSENIC AND OLD LACE with Peter Lorre and Boris Karloff. Can you help me? Does one exist?
I don’t know if one exists or not. Unfortunately, I’m not a Lorre expert. But if you find one, let me know! I’d love to see it!
Just as I couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard of “The Enforcer” before – which I’ve just watched and loved – I can’t believe this blog has been going for years and I didn’t know about it. Amazing work you are doing here! Too bad there isn’t a Facebook page for it, I’d love to follow the updates there. Thank you for your writings and reviews 🙂 PS: The Bogie Rating System is marvellous.
Thanks so much, Carolina! I’m glad you found the site! Sounds like you’re exactly the type of person I made it for. As far as Facebook goes…I might be in over my head with social media as is…. 🙂
Love your blogs.
Thank you !
Thank you, Audrey! Glad you found them!
